The fan pushes the air towards the battery. The air crosses the coil (composed of pipes through which the water circulates and metal fins) and absorbs the cooling or heating energy of the water. The already heated or cooled air is expelled from the upper part to air-condition the room. If there is something that differentiates aerothermal energy from air conditioning, it is efficiency. Aerothermal energy is currently the most efficient system. On average, the aerothermal units on the market have a coefficient of performance (COP) of 4, which means that for every 1 kWh of electricity consumed, they generate between 3 and 4 kWh of energy.
